CCOO Catalunya commissioned Philip Stanton Studio to create a large-scale mural (5 x 15 m) for the newly remodeled headquarters of Comisiones Obreras in Barcelona, one of Spain’s most influential trade unions.  The mural now occupies a central space within the building, bringing color, energy, and a contemporary visual identity to this renewed hub of activity. The project was developed in close dialogue with the institution’s values and its long-standing commitment to social progress, resulting in a vibrant piece that celebrates community, diversity, and collective strength. Once completed, the mural became the focus of a recent TV interview for Spanish National Television, RTVE which was broadcast in September and offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of this exciting work.

@Philipstantonstudio  os happy to announce a new collaboration with Marcs i Quadres Carreras  @marcsiquadres  a grat artistic place in Sant Gervasi area of Barcelona. Marta Carreras and lead framer Diana have created a fantastic and practical space to find art and creativity in the heart of the Uptown BCN.  Philip has been the featured artist in May and the reception has been amazing  lots of interest... and sales!     The exclusive front cover which  @philipstantonstudio  for the special Sant Jordi edition of  @elperiodico_cas  ( @prensaiberica  group) was also used for the defining image of the spectacular post-diada party at  @drymartinibarcelona  owned and masterfully managed by  our friend  @javierdelasmuelas A huge shout out to Magazine director Alex Salmon, AD  @jorgemdesign  for confiding in us for this project! For the Sant Jordi edition of Abril , the literary supplement of El Periódico , Philip Stanton created a project that celebrates the people behind literature. He drew 70 hand-made ink portraits on vellum of authors, editors, literary agents, and the creative team of the 64-page magazine. The project emphasizes the human touch, no AI, no machine learning, just the same instinct to create that has existed since the earliest cave paintings. Each portrait reflects the artist’s personal interpretation, giving the illustrations warmth and character. Creative Director Jorge M. used 58 of the portraits as black-and-white spot illustrations for page headings, adding a cohesive visual identity to the magazine. The project celebrates Sant Jordi and the people who bring literature to life, showing that behind every story there is a human hand shaping it.
